A slow day between Labin and Rabac.
Start high. Labin is best in the softer hours, when stone façades hold the morning light and the old town still feels residential. Walk through Porta Sanfior, allow yourself to get slightly lost, then climb toward a viewpoint rather than racing from monument to monument.
By midday, follow the geography downhill. Rabac is close, but the change is dramatic: pine, salt, swimming water and the horizontal line of the Kvarner replace the compressed lanes above. The point of the day is not to choose between town and sea, but to let one sharpen the other.
End slowly. A swim, a late lunch, then a return uphill for evening light gives Labin its full rhythm — stone, water, then stone again.
